Instructions and Help about dl dppa 1 form

This week we did a program on the Driver's Privacy Protection Act, that's DOPA. This act protects your private information that you give to the driver's license bureau when you apply for a driver's license, such information as your driver's license photo, or your address and contact information. Federal Law protects this information from being accessed for an improper purpose. Each time your information is either accessed, disclosed or sold, you could be entitled to a minimum of $2,500 per incident, plus attorney's fees. There have been numerous violations of this act. In one case, somebody in Marion County, a bailiff, accessed over 40,000 people which gave them a great deal of concern for their privacy. We in the law firm are handling numerous cases regarding violations of the DOPA. Because these violations are so overwhelming and so numerous we would advise everybody who has any kind of concern to find out whether their information has been accessed. You can do this by going to the David Database. The DAVID Database is the Driver's And Vehicle Information Database. Now you can find this out by doing a public records request. If you want help in finding out how to do the request Just go to our website DeWittLaw.com, and you will be given instructions. If you want us to assist you with that, you can contact our office at 1-800-DeWitt-Law, and we will help you. If you have found out that your information has been improperly accessed, you need to call us so that we can see whether we can get you the relief that's afforded to you under the act. Join us each week for the DeWitt Law Review every Sunday at 10am on DBO 96.5 Radio. Should you miss the show, then tune in for a recap on our website.
